Camp Areas

Band Leadership

Led by Mr. Ryan Edgmon, Director of Bands for Mustang Public Schools, leadership students will be immersed in marching band culture. They will develop real-world rehearsal and leadership skills through hands-on participation in marching and music rehearsals.

Drum Major

Led by Dr. Melissa Sawyer, Assistant Director of Bands for the University of Kansas, drum major students will gain valuable knowledge in the areas of conducting, score study, and marching pedagogy. They will also enjoy sessions with the band leadership students.

Percussion

Led by Mr. Tony Tiger, Director of Bands for Giddings ISD in Austin, TX, the percussion area has a track for battery and front ensemble students.

Front Ensemble – Students will work throughout the camp as a separate ensemble and with the full marching ensemble, focus is spent on technique and reading fundamentals. Students of all skill levels are welcome in this group.

Color Guard

Led by Ms. Nicole Taylor of Dallas, TX, the color guard staff will meet campers where they are with fun and challenging routines and experiences that help students strengthen their fundamentals, develop new skills, and increase their confidence through performance.
